You may even crash VFP by doing it. :)
>I got some interesting results when replacing .fpt file. What I did is copied the .FPT file of one table over the .FPT file of the table I am trying to trap the problem. But when adding a new record this didn't generate an error at all. In fact what I did is open Command Prompt and manually opened the table (which had .FPT file replaced) and issued command INSERT INTO MYTABLE (PK, MEMO_FLD) values (nVal, "some string") and no problem. VFP didn't complain at all.
