~6-7 datasets each one with one empty table. Most of the tables have just few fields.

Well, any process is likely to be manual in one way or another, so you're best to just bite the bullet, get this one fixed, say 10 Hail Mary's and 5 Our Fathers, and then do it the right way the next time. :)
