KG, you will be seriously disappointed if you expect to have much influence on her musical tastes past the age of about 10. Probably younger. IMO it's part of the natural cycle of growing up to separate yourself from your parents, even if you don't hate them. It's actually a healthy thing. Obviously you will be an influence but encourage her to feel safe in establishing her own identity. It will make her a stronger adult.
Maybe you were just kidding. I hope so.
