On the concept of "punishment", he has been punished. He did his time in prison. But playing the league is not a right, it's a privilege.

Vick made 3 mistakes....the first is obvious - but then he lied to his owner, and he lied to the league commish. He has no credibility. He HAD to know that investigators would learn the truth, and/or that the feds would get one of his "partners" to flip.

Vick will bring tremendous baggage with him - too many distractions. And let's face it - while he was a good QB, he played in a weaker conference.

On Pitino, I agree....talk about a major hit on his credibility. While I've never looked at Pitino with awe, I always liked him, but am severely disappointed with him.
