yah good question. I think Micro$oft is being accused of having too much and being targeted by patent hounds. This business of everything little thing having a patent is simply getting out of hand and resulting in a pile of technology related court cases of one clown accusing another clown of some stupid patent violation. I think the patent office needs to be a bit more practical with what they provide patents too...geeze.
Anyway - that headline for that story is wrong too. They can still sell MS word - just cant sell some XML features with it.
