I tried both the simple and more advanced code fro this thread, they both work nice, except for a detail concerning the first letter after a space has been used. The advanced code makes it upper-case right away, while the simple solution changes it to upper only after a second letter is typed.
However, I have to make a small remark regarding programming of this type:
These types of functions left users with little or, more usualy, no control what-so-ever over what they're typing. I tried once the similar code in a name-box for a user record, and few weeks later the client hired a person with Dutch kind of last name, like 'van' Something, so there went that function.
My point: trust users a little bit more, or at least give them some option to disable this kind of feature, by using user preferences maybe.
Finally, I don't of course have the knowledge of what purpose the mention code will be used for, so maybe everything I wrote here is a bunch of ballonies in this context, but I thought I'd make a point nevertheless.
