What I don't get is that when Bush was president, they said that their dissent was patriotic, but now that the shoe is on the other foot, our dissent is un-american.

Glenn Beck was talking about that the other night. In the 2002 and 2003 period, the dissent against Bush was, if anything, even worse. The media referring to it as simple opposition, and arguably downplayed some of the violence and defacing of property that occured. I guess the media figures that emotions are only for liberals. <s>
