Some adjustments were made about half-way through (SCRUM, teams, etc) that really improved upon it and we took the time initially to layout and design the different assemblies (layers for different installation scenarios) for use by other apps (modules) that will use them. We have teams that always include a vfp developer to help with understanding the existing behavior and deciphering code and multiple dotnet developers (the vfp developer may or may not be a dotnet developer as well but most are).

Sounds like a well planned team effort. If it is not too proprietary question, did you end up choosing WinForms or ASP.NET?
