Not really. MS C 6.0 used the Programmers Workbench (PWB) and that was the precursor to VS. I'm pretty sure all of the MS compilers ran in that environment but that was 20 years ago so memory may be failing a little. PWB was really cool at the time.
VFP3 shipped way before VS IIRC, at that point in time I'd moved away from doing much C/C++ development in favor FoxPro development.
