This question is somewhat related to a question that I posted previously. Anyway, Iam trying to generate invoice reports. Iam wondering whether following is the right way of coding for report generation.
I want to stick to the usual paradigm that I launch the form which gathers the report input values(like dates, customer id etc) and then in the click event of a command button, I want to put a statement like "Report invoice ......".

Can the report fields get their values from the view that is part of the input form? or Does report must have a data enviornment with a view and the report fields can only see that view?
