I also code in .NET (I maintain an ASP.NET application) and agree with you. What I was trying to say is that my VFP application was created initially as completely monolithic with a lot of spaghetti code and bad practices. The application works but to convert it to the C/S (like SQL Server) required tons of rewrite. So when I am going to be create my first .NET winforms app I want to make fewer mistakes.
