I actually figured out the resume part after i wrote my note (and thought, "can it be that simple?" ) but the whole thing does some curious log jamming and i ended up restarting by first deactivating everything then clean startup.

The main thing for me was getting the whole thing stopped which your code achieves hands down. i will see where your suggestions lead.
