>A couple of times per year, I use a pressure washer outdoors to clean up around my house. For the past few years, I've borrowed a medium-powered gas one from my parents, which works great. But, they live 40+ kilometers away and it's a hassle having to go back and forth to borrow, then return it.

IMO the general rule is if you want something with a kick outdoors, you want it gas powered.
I have an air powered pressure washer (powered by my air compressor) that works OK around the garage area, but if I need something better or portable, I rent a gas powered washer (I've only needed to do that a couple of times).
