>>A couple of times per year, I use a pressure washer outdoors to clean up around my house. For the past few years, I've borrowed a medium-powered gas one from my parents, which works great. But, they live 40+ kilometers away and it's a hassle having to go back and forth to borrow, then return it.
>>
>>So, I'm considering getting a pressure washer myself. I don't need a really powerful one, the gas one I've used is more than enough, which is why I'm wondering if an electric one would be "good enough".
>>
>>Any opinions? Am I likely to find an electric one "too wimpy" compared to the gas one I've used in the past?

>I've got a 5hp gas powered pressure washer. It's the thrid one I've had over the past 20 years. Works great, less filing!
That's my question. I think my folks' unit is also 5hp gas. An electric one running on a 120V/15A circuit can only draw 1800VA max, it's unlikely it could draw more than 1500W continuous, which is 2hp.
But, like I said, I don't need all the beef of the gas unit I've used in the past. So, I'm wondering if anyone who's used an electric one could offer their opinion.
