I usually ask around UT and while we work with MS. It's always good to know that when working with MS, they are actually able to look at the VFP source code which really helps a lot.

We have an open ticket with them at the moment that involves BINTOC() and Double-byte Char Sets (ex. Chinese, Japanese) where a BINTOC() index behaves differently. The problem is that the Collation is switched from Machine to Pinyin, which made our SEEKs go crazy.
