and hold 500 rallies dedicated to saving Saint Teddy's bill.Well, he was the last of that great dynasty. Remaining family members don't seem to have "it", whatever it is. So it is the end of an era. Sad, in a way: it was a time when Communism confronted Capitalism and hippies confronted cops, free love was in there somewhere too, they had to cope with the threat of nuclear holocaust rather than just avaricious bankers and healthcare insurers causing tiresome messes, but also it was a time when the US put people on the moon and really invented stuff. So yeah, I'm describing "the good old days" ;-) and the Kennedys were part of it.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
