>>>Yes, so related. Yo claimed terror events in last 25 years related islam because of muslim terrorists. In that case we would be claimed related communism because of PKK... ''

>>>It's still different - communism, by nature, requires the use of force (for all intents and purposes)

>>Any change in government form has required the use of force, hasn't it? Even India's independence involved lots of violence, even though Gandhi himself preached nonviolence.

>>Which doesn't invalidate your point before that terrorism in recent times has been predominantly an Islamic activity. Not sure why Metin is so unwilling to concede that.

>The number of terrorists groups may be predominantly Muslim today (the list includes many very small groups not well organized), but if you look at terrorist groups who actually performed acts of terroris or whose goal was to further their cause through violence and terrorism, you have to include these non-muslim groups:

>9-11 certainly put the focus and the worry of terrorism into the public's view here and it spawned more terrorism groups in the world, but if you look at recent history, there were many non-muslim groups. Americans were not worrying about it so much though until it hit home - even with the previous attacks on Americans overseas. It is another case of living in a bubble until the bubble bursts.

I don't think it would look so heterogeneous if you looked at the number of fatalities. Sure, there are other groups who are violent, zealous, or just plain kooky. But when is the last time you heard about any of them committing a large scale atrocity?
