Yes, I do. I was shocked to see him on ESPN. I did a quick google, but I didn't see any big story on the switch from the NFL Network. Do you have the inside story?

All I've heard is a combination of fact and speculation - that Schefter knew he was very valuable to the NFL Network (and he was), and he knew that ESPN's NFL coverage had been slipping (the Monday night countdown and NFL Live shows have, in my opinion, been dropping in quality). There are reports that some NFL players would rather talk to the NFL Network than ESPN.

Schefter tried to get more money from the NFL Network, but I guess they didn't give him what he wanted. Schefter hadn't been seen on the NFL Network in months, because he was still under contract. But his contract (supposedly) expired earlier this month, and he was hired by ESPN.

Chis Mortensen has been ESPN's strongest analyst, so it'll be interesting to see how the network deals with 2 strong analysts. Schefter is an absolute consummate professional, and his predictions/breaking stories have usually been very accurate. I'm guessing ESPN will be letting a few people go.

Different subject - heard about Cassel getting hurt last night - do I also hear correctly that there are hopes Larry Johnson will have a better year this year? Their defense last year was terrible, especially in the 2nd half.
