I recently experimented with vfp2iis. Their claims of running VFP thru your browser -- any browser -- sounded exagerated. I had planned to post my results here at some point, so now seems as good as any.

The claims are pretty much true. I found three issues, which may or may not matter to you:

1. There are a couple of vfp commands that have to be substituted; most notable messagebox() needs to become vfp2iis.messagebox and do form has to become vfp2iis.doform. They have a list of these compatibility issues.

2. I also had some trouble with the installation. It comes with VFP 9 SP 1 runtimes, and my server had SP2 runtimes already. Once I swapped the SP 2 runtimes instead of SP 1 the installation worked.

3. The biggest problem for me was the extensive documention in english is written by non-english speakers, and is very, very difficult to understand. I see in the docs so many abilities that I wanted to try, but simply could not follow the example instructions.

The positive is as follows:

1. It really does work. Your VFP forms show up in a browser and run flawlessly.

2. The tech support is fast and very helpful, despite the language barrier. Although it appears to be a small operation, my emails were returned very quickly with answers and even with attached example forms showing how to do what I wanted.

3. They provide a pretty extensive demo app/forms showing many examples.

The demo is free with a nag screen, that allows you to try it out.

I have to say I was favorably impressed. With better english docs I would buy it in an instant, I may buy it even without that.
