I've found that most every time I've tried to work with large open source applications I run into immediate and absolutely glaring difficulties due to no/bad/wrong language/wtf support, gaping holes in functionality, and no standards whatsoever.
Linux. That ends open source for me.
I prefer a product that is supported.
