I have been working with PDFCreator which I found on SourceForge. There are some disturbing issues with it ( see Wikipedia ) as they seem to have added malware. It is free but it is an unmanaged ActiveX component. Works fine for creating the pdf but the sparse documention for using it as a COM object means I don't know how to use it synchronously so I can read the resulting PDF into a byte array to store as soon as it is created. ( see my question on Filesystemwatcher )
Anybody have experience with this component?
Anybody have a better suggestion? Doesn't have to be free but the next step seems to be a grand or better. All I need it for is the creation of PDFs programmatically from RTF files either on disk or as a stream.
TIA

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
