>>>>Probably. Yesterday we had a unsuccessful bank robbery in Oslo. Why was the bank robbery not successful? Since no banks here in Norway carry any cash anymore....! Everybody knows that, except the criminals.

>>>Reminds me of the guy who died. His last wish was that his family should throw 100 dollars into his grave, so that he had some money to spend in heaven. Everyone was happy to throw in their money, since they knew the guy was very religious, and did not want to break his last wish. The last person, probably a scot, picked up all the money, 3300 dollars in total. He then wrote a personal check on 3400 dollars, and threw it into his grave.

>>Is this a joke? If not, why 'probably a scot?'

>Yes, it's a joke, and probably a scot since they are known to hold on to their money..

I wasn't sure because there was no smiley. How very "un-pc" of you :o) Peter is probably ranting right now :o)

In all the places I've been in the U.S., the scots are not seen as misers so much because we have a huge generation of folks who made it through the great depression and who, ever since, "hold onto their money." :o)

Right now in the U.S., just about everyone is holding onto their money!
