No, only to deposit checks. (You can do that at some ATMs, too, but they take longer to clear). But if I were a bank I wouldn't assume everyone uses ATMs all the time.
What do cash businesses do with their cash? Doesn't that go to the bank?
Emily has her own checking account and debit card now. She made a bundle this summer as a life guard and swim instructor and asked if she could open her own account. I had been keeping track of it for her as a virtual account in Quicken. I said sure, as long as they have an account that won't chew you up with fees. Chase has something for high schoolers (under 19) that is perfect for what we wanted. Her account is linked to mine so I can see what is coming and going, although I have done very little of that. (I know we have different viewpoints on that whole subject so no need for us to dredge it up again).
