True story. The last time I talked to Tom he called from the Royal Hawaiian in Honolulu, a.k.a. the pink palace. He had a tradition of going there annually.It passed for him as winter in northern California. He wrote that he thought two nubile young ladies from Australia were eying him. That's the Tom I prefer to remember -- the optimistic one.
