>>The mince pies law mentioned (re: Cromwell) refers to his puritanical rules which includes the eating of mince pies at Christmas. Ludicrous when for like 90-odd% people only eat them then (the shops are crammed with them). Mince pies being a rich fruit mix, not meat, of course.

>>Also cromwell made it illegal to go outside parish boundaries at Xmas. Time of year when most people do, besides summer vacation.

Hi. I'd forgotten, sorta. And kept thinking, there's a site I'm not visiting. Last few times there's been nowt of interest, not much going on, and no messages to/about me, so I couldn't see the point.

Still no job and not many prospects. Word of a VFP -> C~.NET job, 1.5 hrs commute away, but although agent says they're interested in my CV says also boss off sick so no movement. An agent phoned me yesterday c Mapbasic short contract but withheld his phone bno., didn't send me any job info, as discissed, and only got contractual bumff from the agency. Bizarre.
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
