I didn't fear Bush despite what I thought of his views and I don't fear Obama despite what I think of his views. I do, however, fear for a country where each side views the other not as misguided, but as evil. Because in that sort of country the worst predictions of both sides might come to pass.

I have faith, however, that this country will suffer none of that. This despite the fact that vast majorities of those voting for either side have little, if any, concept of actual issues but vote based upon sound bites intentionally designed to focus on their hot buttons.

FWIW, I think the worst case scenerio will give us a Jake Featherston rather than a Freddy Van Ackerman. But your opinion obviously differs.

Yes. And I'm crawling back under there rather than subject myself to reading the rantings of the hard core zealots of left and right. I'm out of this and all other political discussions. I will continue to look forward to enlightenment on the technical side of things, where you have been one of many here who have helped me enormously.
