Is that printer a typical receipt printer for POS systems? Most manufacturers are following an OPOS standard now for printing. For example EPSON makes many models of receipt printers, but they also provide FREE a control (OCX) to use for printing receipts. I just went through this and it got extremely easy real fast once I downloaded this control from their web site. But this control is only for their receipt printers.
In answere to your wide-bold question, you have to place the escape characters for printing a wide-bold line right before the line to be printed that way:
? chr(##)+chr(##), datafields_go_here
These codes are generally good for only the immediate line.
