>Honestly, when I was in high school I had a friend who wouldn't touch milk. He drank Pepsi at every meal including breakfast. One day he broke his leg. It took so long to heal, we thought it never would. Coke's no different. Sucks the calcium right out of your bones.

>It's funny you mention that - I also drink a ton of milk and get a pretty healthy dose of other types of dairy. I mainly drank 2% growing up (all my mother even bought) and I've only touched 1% as an adult. I actually can't stand the taste of whole millk.

>If anything, I probably drink too much milk, which doesn't exactly help with my sinuses.

>In all seriousness, I drink one Coke a day in the morning, and I usually drink some kind of Diet Cherry/Black Cherry something later in the day. So I do two sodas a day, only 1 with sugar.

>And starting this week (completely unrelated), I stopped drinking Rock Star Juiced - we'll see if an extra cup of coffee for me will be enough!

A few weeks ago I had lunch with a guy I used to work with. He got to the restaurant before me and was seated when I got there, so it wasn't until we got up to leave that I noticed he had lost quite a bit of weight. He said he had dropped from 270 to 218 since March. He didn't look that fat at 270 -- he's about 6'5" and played linebacker at Wake Forest -- but definitely had a paunch going. He said he had not gone on a diet or even altered his diet that much. He said he attributes it to two things. One, smaller portions. He said he'll still have a hot dog with all the trimmings for lunch, now it's just one hot dog instead of three. He said the only thing he has given up completely is soft drinks.

I still see a lot of cans of Rock Star at AA meetings and smile every time thinking of you. We'll save you a seat!
