>I am looking for a simple way (as per NetWare "Send" command) of sending a message to another PC on a Windows 95 Peer to Peer network. Is there anything incorporated into W95 which will allow me to send a message directly to another PC (not via mail server or such)?

Take a look at WINPOPUP; it's included in the \WINDOWS directory. It should work unless you have multiple people logged into the net with the same user name at the same time. It's available in Win95/Win98, and compatible clients are vailable for NT 4.0 and WfWG.
