>Thank you. Today we've been to the Jopenfestival (an annual Haarlem medieval festival) and to the Korenlint (an annual Haarlem event with 80 amateur choirs performing throughout the city), tonight we've been to Marike Jager (http://www.marikejager.com) and Fabiana Dammers (http://www.myspace.com/fabianadammers), also in Haarlem. Oh I forget, we also ate Spanish tapas on a terrace. Here is a Haarlem tour: http://www.haarlemtoer.nl/ and a webcam: http://www.haarlem.nl/bezoek-haarlem/haarlem-highlights/webcam-grote-markt/

There is a Holland festival going on in New York City to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the Dutch. Clogs, windmills, the whole deal. Tulips may be out of season. It's all good IMO. Anything that helps people understand history is in the good column.

Are clogs still worn or an artifact of history?
