Not sure why you sent this to me. I've not commented on AmeriCorps but don't agree that it is national socialism. Such comments sound like the latest version of the "Death Panels" palaver intended to cause FUD.

Now...go back almost 100 years...here is what Herr Hitler said in Mein Kampf..

Equally one could go back to JFK, Jefferson or Franklin (or perhaps Ghandi, Churchill or Abraham if you want to look abroad) to find that they too valued service to community. But you choose Hitler.

Just because Obama won't go after Jews, doesn't mean he doesn't have political scapegoats on his radar - just like he blamed the Jews for the ills of society, Obama hates the wealthy, the successful...and is determined to enslave them and seize what they have, one way or another.

With all due respect, that's hysteria, and insulting to more than just Obama.

So while it may seem somewhat anti-intellectual, I applaud those who carry around Hitlerized Obama pictures. It's about goddamn time those who do not wish to be enslaved start speaking out. Obama should be exposed for the statist and the liar that he is.

Enslaved. Yeah, just like JFK was planning to enslave Americans and presumably the whole world when he said this:

To those peoples in the huts and villages across the globe struggling to break the bonds of mass misery, we pledge our best efforts to help them help themselves, for whatever period is required - not because the Communists may be doing it, not because we seek their votes, but because it is right. If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich. ...

And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country.

My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.

Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
