I assumed that you wanted to search a drive or drives(s) for a file of a given name. I've never used the Win32API to do this, but it has functions similar to what I previously described that are built into Delphi.

Look in the file Win32API.txt that is included in the VB installation of DevStudio (5.0) or Visual Studio (6.0) for the FindFirstFile and FindNextFile to get the calling sequence and use a declare statement for VFP.
