Back to the Obama/Hitler comparison and even going back to the Rush one, here is an opinion piece that echos the media coverage that I have witnessed:One man's feast is another man's famine? ;-)
It has been suggested that editorial about the latest Hitler comparisons is muted because the majority already disapproves- apparently >90% of people surveyed at Town Hall meetings disapproved of the Nazi comparisons. In which case you'd have to ask how long the generally respectful and courteous majority is going to put up with the coarsening level of "debate." The topics are important and need sensible consideration rather than petty brawling.
