You might see if hacking into the data designer form in appforms.vcx and turning off the error handler over there might help. I don't know, though -- it should behave much better than this even with the handler. Maybe something has gotten corrupted in the VPM classlibraries themselves?

I was almost ready to leave, wanted to quickly reply Hilmar with some code from the new class and when I tried to open the class found out it was coming as a form :((( No backup existed. Luckily the records were just marked as deleted in the library, so I recovered the class - hopefully not much lost if any.

That's too bad -- VPM has been very stable for me over the years, although I haven't used the version you are using because it doesn't support xCase/xCase2VPM (I'm using version 9.0.)

Maybe it is time to invest in one of those backup systems that automatically backup your file as soon as it is changed :-)
