An agent phoned me yesterday c Mapbasic short contract but withheld his phone bno., didn't send me any job info, as discissed, and only got contractual bumff from the agency. Bizarre.

>It's not so much my age as how to get in the industry. A thirty-something, say, has many more years to gain experience, skill, to serve. What background or experience, track record have I to offer? Proof of my worth? Reason for them to take me on. Just how the hell does one get into that industry anyway?! :-)

I know there are quite a few books about how to get into the publishing industry. Have not read any of them but do a google and see if any of them look promising.
