It's all your fault, KG (lol).

Seriously, how many companies have you worked for that truly inspired you? I can count one. (Two, if you count Kraft right after the merger with General Foods. I was the one in 70 they hired. Yup, I screwed that job up with drinking). It was called RDI Software at the time, well known in the FoxPro world, renamed to Geneer during my dim tenure. It was consciously modeled on the Silicon Valley software companies in their heyday. Open hours, open kitchen for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, everyone with a doored office and all the latest equipment. The sky was the horizon.

Geneer went down in flames later, to my surprise. A bad bet on web hosting seems to have been part of it. I still hear Doug Grimsted's name here and there. If you ever get a chance to work for him, take it.
