Can someone tell me the pro's and con's to creating COM objects in VB versus VFP? I am building a Web application on IIS 4 with ASP. The application will need to query data from a Visual FoxPro database. To accomplish this, I want to create COM objects to query the tables and pass the data to the web server.

Since VB and VFP can create COM objects, which is better? In VB, I would use ADO; whereas, I would use SELECT SQL in VFP. Is there any noticable speed difference between the two?
