This is picking winners or against the spread? Even a casual fan could probably go 21-11 picking winners based on common knowledge.

The prognosticator I admire is Dr. Z of Sports Illustrated. He doesn't pick every game, only the hard ones. And he does pretty well. His percentage might not look that high compared to Uncle Norman with the loud laugh and the bluster. No easy winners, no fluff. If I were a gambling man, which I am not, I would pay very close attention to what he says.

Let's make this interesting. In addition to your pick-the-winners thing with an 8 foot basket, let's put the rim back up to 10 feet. Mixed sports metaphors but you get the idea. Somehow or another we settle on a few tough calls every week, nominations welcome. All NFL or betting fans are invited to participate. No prize other than the admiration of your peers ;-)

First prize, a T shirt from John Koziol saying "Mike Beane is smarter than me." LOL (still in production)
