>That's a very good point. Will I fix a dead language? Maybe, if the customer is will to pay. I wouldn't call it a lie. Everyday guys are doing the very thing you are calling a lie. They fix code, report bugs, etc... That's how it works.

>One of the nice things about Dabo (written in Python) is I do have the expertise to modify and fix bugs. In fact I wrote the Postgres interface. And guess what others have written patches to my code. So you see it's not a lie.

Perhaps I worded it wrong, but not just anyone can dig into the code and fix it. The Open Source community has implied that for years.

>Your last statement I completely disagree with. I believe that Linux and OSX have an inherent difference. The Kernel is removed from the user apps via security. Yes it's true that the user is still exposed to malware, virus, and other nasty things. But because of the separation all the nasty can do is wipe out the user items. Will it come to past that software protection will be required in the future for Linux and OSX - I think so. I don't know what or how it will work but I bet something will happen.

You should do your own research on this. It's not just me saying it, but all the major anti-virus vendors, security companies, virus researchers are starting to say it. And have you looked at what Microsoft did with the kernel in Vista?
