But here's the key statement from that article:

Every corporation I've dealt with (and remember, I currently work for a Fortune 100), when they look at the costs of implementing a new system look first at the licensing and hardware costs and greatly underestimate the support, installation, and maintenance costs. There are many articles out there about how Open Source is one of the biggest causes of this.

I'm not saying Open Source doesn't have a place. I use several Open Source apps. But you have to correctly measure the cost/benefit and determine if it's right for you.
