It wasn't until 1971 that 18-20 year olds could vote (26th Amendment). Initially they had a strong showing. However, that was due to Vietnam. Figure the odds that a majority of 18-20 year olds will vote in the next presidential election! :o) Most figures track youth 18-24 or 18-29. Regardless, the majority of youth voters vote Democrat and Democrats typically vote for more social programs so it still wouldn't happen. :o)
