How are you putting your program into a wait state? It's pretty trivial to use a form with a timer to provide periodic code execution.

I thought I could make use of a timer object, but it does not fire during code execution. It only fires during wait windows, etc. Any suggestions about how I can accomplish this or get the timer to fire during program execution?
