Hi Ronald,

One more thing to check - are you sure you're not printing from the form with a grid with a focus on the grid? Though symptoms would be different.

What is your exact command (and few preceding lines) to call this report?

UPDATE. I see now you solved the problem with Christof's help. Glad to hear that.

>Thanks for taking the time to try and fix my mess. I truly appreciate it. You are right about that one virtue-hubris. It is so strange that such a simple thing bother me so much that I need to find out whats happening. Im still battling with this dilemma and perhaps if I could give you some more symptoms on what I call "my nightmare", you (and other generous persons like you) might be able to help (please) suggest a solution or a cause. Likewise, if I find out what's going on, on my own, I would want to share its resolution to you.

>Like Ive already narrated: the report works well when Im working locally. But when I run it while connected to our windows 2003 server using REPORT FORM preview, the following events occur:
>
>1. The first page of the report appears on screen;
>2. If I click the Next button on the preview toolbar the following appears;
> "No table is open in the current working area."
>3. Sometimes, the second page comes out, but only up to there, the next page (page 3) does not come out at all. Instead the message:
> "No table is open in the current working area." once again is displayed.
>4. If the second page is displayed successfully and I suddenly clicked the First or Last Page button, Visual Foxpro goes:
> Visual Foxpro has stopped working ...
>5. I moved the entire project to Windows XP and still experienced the same thing.
>6. 2 Suspects are left: VFP9 or I :). It is most likely that its I; but because of hubris, I would like to think of myself as not the culprit without enough evidence.

>Thanks very much Naomi and have a pleasant day!
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
