>>>I have tried to point to the location of the help file as suggested by ealier threads posted here. But it does not work. What I am getting is when I select help from the VFP menu nothing happen. But one memory resident program called "foxhhelp" would appear every time help is executed. What is wrong here ? Thanks for your help.

have you checked to see that foxhelp.chm actually exists? If it does, does it come up when you doubleclick it?
If it does not come up, you still don't have the HTML help viewer installed. This comes on the VS CD (I can't tell you where, I still only have the beta copy)
If it does come up, then you are still not pointing at the right help file in VFP.
