Strongly agreed. Placing more importance on sexual neutrality than the rules of grammar
is an unfortunate trend in recent years, IMHO -- most of which, at this point, is likely due to
people not knowing any better, rather than trying to be politically correct. On this point,
everyone is entitled to his own opinion (the proper default), everyone is entitled to her own
opinion, and everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion -- but everyone is not entitled to their
own opinion, because everyone is singular!

As for my "favorite" misspellings: There is a TWO-LETTER word that is misspelled by a
surprising (or, more accurately, discouraging) number of native English speakers.
That word is ad (short for advertisement). Arrrrrgh!!!!
