Yes yes - it must have been the use I was missing

The database belongs to one of my Clients Belsize Square Synagogue in London - it's driven by software called Progress installed before I started working with BSS - the problem is that Progress sets up a number of dictionaries from which you can select fields to export - missing from the dictionaries are things like email address and mobile phone nos of the members - I need the first to extract data for mailings and the second for SMS

Progress support is so dire that it's easier for me to download the databases and to extract the contents using SQL Server - that works fine now thanks to you for all your help
