In addition to what Nick said:

1) VFP 6.0 will install new versions of ActiveX controls that could break your old applications. The fix is to delete the controls from the form and then add the new control.

2) VFP 5.0 and 6.0 cannot use stored procedures in a VPF 3.0 DBC without recompiling, which requires a recompile to use in 3.0.

3) The structure of the menu file changed from 5.0 to 6.0.
