John Peterson is much more knowledgeable about this than I am, but from what I understand, yes...you should use MTS.
The blocking problem exists when two people attempt to call the same method at the same time. User two will be blocked from using the method until user 1 is done. This shouldn't be a problem if the method takes a second or two, but will be a problem if it takes a few minutes. This problem will be fixed in Service Pack 1.
