>>>Alright, the reason I did not put the full details in the first post was because I wanted to see if I could even get something posted. Here are the full details. When logging in under IE8, I get a page that indicates there is some problem and gives a list of things to try. Nothing listed there has fixed the problem. I tried under Firefox and could log in, but when I tried to post (when I clicked the Send button after typing my message) I got the same page (now displayed in the bottom frame where you type a posting). It appeared the message never got posted. So I didn't want put in a big explanation only to find that Chrome - which I am now using while doing these posts - has the same problem. Fortunately it doesn't. I tried getting to the UT on my wife's computer (also IE8), but ran into the same problem. Never had this issue before, but it's odd that two machine suddenly get it. Is the culprit a M$ update or an antivirus update? (I use Norton Internet Security 2009.) Whatever it is, it's affecting FF in a similar fashion (I was able to log in, but then ran into the error while posting). Michel has offered some suggestions, but so far nothing works. Has anyone seen this? I can use Chrome for the UT, I guess, unless it starts being affected by whatever is causing the problem for IE8 and FF.

>>I experienced the very same thing and came to the same solution as you; use Chrome. See message #1421067.

>Yeah, that's one solution, but anytime logging in is hard to do, there will be a tendency for the user to come up with an alternative solution, which is simply to go elsewhere. There are a lot of options out there for people to get help on technical issues and to learn. The UT is certainly not the biggest. If Michel just blows off this issue, it may be to the detriment of the UT. But it's his baby, not mine.

I agree on this.

Whether people like it or not, IE is by far the mainstay browser of the planet. Support for *CURRENT* IE versions should be #1 priority.
