Unfortunately, I agree completely with Hoven's assessment. I believe Baucus has crafted a bill that can pass and will be a mess.

In addition there are a number of carve outs for individual states that are already being inserted. By the time this gets to the floor it will loaded with enough buyoffs to pass. If not Reid has another trick planned to push it through regardless.

I sure hope the seniors out there are paying attention as they're the most likely to have the sway to block passage of this.

I already see 2010-2011 being a mess financially, this will just add more fuel to the fire.

- Option-ARM, ALT-A loan defaults and interest resets
- Tax cuts expire becoming the largest tax increase in history
- Debt driven interest pressure causing further dollar erosion & inflation
- (potential) Health insurance "penalties" and "fees" upon every single consumer as all costs are passed through
- (potential) Cap and trade "penalties" and "fees" upon every single consumer as all costs are passed through

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
